You don’t need a bear fur to stay warm and dry in ugly weather. A duck will work just fine. We’re talking about cotton duck of course, the material that’s so water-repellent it’s named after one of Nature’s best swimmers. Water mostly rolls right off the material of this Carhartt coat, and that helps stress roll right off of you. The tough 13 ounce, 100% cotton duck is dyed in a perfect Carhartt brown.

The design of this flame-resistant coat is lined with quilted fire-resistant modacrylic material to keep you insulated against cold weather. Tough modacrylic is durable, but soft and warming. Use the inside-waist draw cord to cinch the design around your body. To block even more cold, the cuffs are rib-knit. This construction prevents fraying, too. Use the two-way, durable brass zipper to protect yourself from cold. Snaps under the collar allow you to add the Carhartt FRA265 BRN 13 oz. Quilt-Lined Brown Duck Hood.

This work coat is flame-resistant, and meets National Fire Protection Agency standards to protect you from flash fire and dangerous electric arcs. The material of this FR coat is 70E compliant and UL classified to NFPA 2112 standards.

Even the inside draw cord is made with flame-resistant Nomex. The hook-and-loop closures on the two inside patch pockets are flame-resistant as well.
